iPhone headset plug pinouts
This step is important, you need to know the proper pinouts on the iPhone headset plug, so here they are (see image):
1. Left Audio
2. Right Audio
3. Ground
4. Microphone

When you're finished, you should end up with an adapter that looks like a headphone splitter (but it doesn't function like one, so don't try that!).
I recommend wrapping electrical tape around the bare wires so they don't come in contact with one another or short out.
How to use:
Plug each cord into your PC's Line Out and Microphone In jacks, then plug your iPhone headset into your custom 4 pin stereo jack on the end of the adapter (see image).
Go test it in Volume Control to make sure it works. Make sure that the Microphone In or Line In is enabled and not muted, then you can mess around with the volume settings and mic boost until you like how it sounds.
I hope this tutorial helped! Good luck!
